When you are deciding between colleges, sometimes a large factor can be whether each school specializes in what you want to major in. You are spending so much money on a college that you want to make sure you are getting the best education possible.

You need to go to the college that will give you the most opportunities.

If schools are known for certain majors that means that they have a great curriculum for that class. This also means they are known for their students getting internships and jobs at top companies for that specific major.

There are so many opportunities that arise in college that you don’t even know about yet. Make sure that you place yourself somewhere that will help you get where you want to be in life.

Engineering is such a popular major right now that you might be confused about which places are the best to go for this type of degree. Of course, in the end, there is a lot that goes into choosing a school including location, size, price, etc.

Another important thing to remember when researching colleges and majors is that there is always a chance you might switch majors once you get to school.

University of California- Berkley

University of California, Berkley is located in Berkley, California and is a public research university.

Purdue was ranked by USA News number eight in best engineering schools, number one in biological and agricultural engineering, and fifth in aerospace, aeronautical, and astronautical engineering.

One of the most notable alumni from this university is Neil Armstrong who was the first man on the moon. The overall student body at Purdue is currently 75.8% male and 24.2% female.

University of Pennsylvania

You can even minor in engineering entrepreneurship which is a new option that explores the entrepreneurial world of engineering.

They have several special minors specifically for engineering majors that explore different areas that many engineering students may want to delve into further.

There is also a program where you can start your law degree in your fourth year of college. They have had many engineering students participate in this program.

Overall there are so many different schools in each state that have great engineering programs that I didn’t even mention.

Engineering has become increasingly more popular, so it shouldn’t be a problem to find a good school for engineering in a location that suits your needs.

It is important to understand that if you are going to go into engineering you are going to be taking several high-level math and sciences courses Before you decide to choose this major, make sure that you are prepared to be dedicating your four years to these difficult classes.

Especially when you’re going to higher-level academic schools, your classes are going to be increasingly harder. The schools above are top schools for engineering that are very hard to get into.

However, there are many schools throughout the U.S. that I didn’t get to mention that have similarly great academics that are easier to get into.

Don’t stress if you don’t get into your top schools for engineering because there are so many different great options. Your engineering degree is going to get you a good job no matter which engineering school you go, so don’t stress yourself out too much.

Engineering is a great major to go into and you will be successful if you do your research and put the work in.
